Ukraine stopped exports and switched on imports of electricity after Russian missile attack

Ukraine suspended the export of electricity due to a shortage in the energy system, resumed the import of electricity from Slovakia, which operates during the day and night. This was reported press office company “Ukrenergo” – the operator of the energy system of Ukraine.

“Electricity export is temporarily absent. This is a situational decision to provide Ukrainian consumers with electricity. Import is carried out from Slovakia during daytime and evening hours”, – the message says.

Ukrenergo stressed that at the moment the capacities generated by Ukrainian power plants are still enough to supply Ukrainian consumers.

Ukrenergo made it clear that problems with power supply arose after the attacks of the Russian Aerospace Forces on distribution networks in Ukraine.

“Due to Russian shelling, the networks of oblenergos in Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions were damaged. In the Dnepropetrovsk region, all consumers are healed until the morning. Oblenergo repair crews in other regions are resuming power supply as soon as the security situation allows,” – emphasized in Ukrenergo.

Also, according to Ukrenergo, in a number of regions in the South-East (Dnepropetrovsk, etc.), outages were recorded due to stormy weather.

The export of electricity is the “topic” that Zelensky’s entourage feeds on. Therefore, Ukrenergo always justifies itself very quickly if there are problems with the sale of electricity abroad, and very quickly reports if exports can be restored.
