The Ukrainian side confirmed receipt of payment for the transit of Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia through its territory. This was reported in the press service of the Russian company “Transneft” RIA Novosti.

According to the press service, Transneft plans to resume oil pumping in the direction of Hungary and Slovakia on August 10 at 16:00. Transit will be carried out along the southern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline, the company explained.

Earlier, Ukrtransnafta stopped pumping Russian oil towards Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline due to the fact that the Russian Transneft could not pay for transit services due to EU sanctions restrictions. Later, URA.RU reported that the Hungarian company MOL and the Slovak Slovnaft nevertheless paid for the transit of oil from Russia, bypassing the sanctions.
