The data of the “black box” from the crashed Airbus H225 helicopter, on board of which was the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, was received by Kiev and is being studied. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal.
“The investigation is ongoing. The “black box” was found, was sent to France for the appropriate decryption. The data has been received, the investigation has it. The investigation is ongoing,” Denys Shmygal said during a press conference (quote from Strana.ua).
The Ukrainian prime minister added that he expects the results of the investigation in the near future. According to him, a lot of work has already been done, there are results of checking the technical condition of the helicopter. No other details are given.
The helicopter crash occurred on January 18 in the city of Brovary (Kiev region). As a result, 14 people died, including Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy, Yevgeny Yenin, and State Secretary of the Ministry, Yuri Lubkovich. The Security Service of Ukraine named three possible reasons for what happened – a violation of flight rules, a technical malfunction, and deliberate actions.
As part of the investigation, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine conducted searches at the home of the former Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, as well as the Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky.
