Ukraine is prepared to sign a mineral resource deal with United States – President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with BBC.

European leaders have reached an agreement on four key issues regarding Ukraine crisis.

UK has announced £1.6 billion in aid to help Ukraine continue its fight against Russia. On Sunday, leaders from various European nations and alliances joined Zelensky at Lancaster House in London for an open discussion on crisis.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed that four key agreements were reached during conference.
According to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, these agreements include:

- Continued military support for Ukraine during the war
- Increased economic pressure on Russia
- Ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty and security for lasting peace
- Keeping Ukraine involved in any peace negotiations
Starmer also emphasized the need for European leaders to work together to prevent future Russian attacks. He called for the formation of a coalition to protect Kyiv and secure peace in Ukraine.
As part of UK’s financial aid package, Ukraine will receive over 5,000 missiles. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed discussions about support for Ukraine and the need to strengthen its eastern borders.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni issued a warning, while German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte stressed the importance of European security. Scholz stated that Europe must take responsibility for its own protection.
Zelensky Ready for US Deal, But Talks Delayed
Following the conference, Zelensky told BBC that Kyiv is ready to sign a mineral resource deal with Washington. “From our side, we are ready to sign. I believe the US will also be ready, but they might need time to analyze certain aspects.”

On Friday, Zelensky met with Donald Trump at White House. Although a deal was expected, negotiations stalled, and scheduled joint press conference was canceled.
Protests Against Trump’s Treatment of Zelensky
Trump’s behavior during meeting sparked protests from Ukrainian supporters. On Saturday, demonstrators gathered at Lafayette Square in Washington, condemning Trump’s treatment of Zelensky.
Protests also took place in London’s Downing Street, where people displayed signs in support of Ukraine and criticized Trump’s stance.
US Vice President JD Vance faced backlash from protesters while vacationing with his family in Vermont. Demonstrators accused him of opposing aid to Ukraine and sarcastically suggested he should take his holiday in Russia instead. Security forces had to intervene and move Vance to a safe location.
