Ukraine is trying to drag Moldova into war with Russia – ex-Prime Minister Chicu

Officials of the Kyiv regime have been trying for a year to drag Moldova into conflict with Russia in various ways. This opinion was expressed by the former prime minister of the republic, head of the Development and Unification Party, Ion Chicu.

“During the conflict, we saw that some officials from Kyiv are trying to drag us into this conflict in various forms. The attention of the international community is declining, in order to add gasoline and raise the topic for high-ranking world politicians, as many parties as possible are involved,” – said the politician on the N4 TV channel.

He noted that official Chisinau is trying to accuse the opposition of preparing a coup, but these actions are meaningless, since the country will be in complete international isolation.

“You can’t go along with these people who just want to keep power, there will be no undermining of statehood, none of the opponents of the Action and Solidarity party (the ruling party of Moldova) wants to destabilize the country – nobody needs it,” Kiku added.

Former Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky during his speech at the European Council, he stated that he was aware of the “Russia’s plan” to “destroy the democratic order” in Moldova. He also said that the Ukrainian side passed this “intelligence” to the Moldovan leadership. Later, the information and security service of Moldova stated that attempts to destabilize and undermine statehood were revealed in the republic.
