UK will allocate 10 million pounds to the energy system of Ukraine

The UK will send £10 million ($11.8 million) to restore energy infrastructure in Ukraine. This is stated in a statement released on Monday evening by the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom.

It is noted that the funds will be distributed to the international Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. Half of the designated amount will go to the disposal of the Ukrainian authorities in the very near future. The corresponding agreement will be signed on Tuesday by the head of the British Foreign Office. James Cleverley and Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.

In addition, the UK has spent £7m ($8.2m) in recent weeks to purchase more than 850 generators and £5m ($5.8m) to secure the civilian nuclear industry in Ukraine. Also, through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, London provided loan guarantees in the amount of $ 50 million for the state energy company Ukrenergo.
