UK MoD continues to use TikTok despite government ban

MOSCOW, 25 Mar – The British Ministry of Defense continues to use TikTok despite a ban on officials from using the app on official devices.

Earlier, the British government on Thursday banned officials from using China’s TikTok app on official mobile phones.

According to the statement, the ministry has a secure publishing model that allows it to securely manage the channel.

“Messages… are delivered by separate systems through a small number of employees… Messages on TikTok… are delivered through third-party software, and no government (or personal) devices are directly used for posting,” the release states.
