Tyumen residents have found a replacement for moonshine and vodka that has become more expensive

Against the background of the rising cost of strong alcoholic drinks, residents of Tyumen began to buy ethyl alcohol in 100 ml glass bottles for later consumption. This was reported to URA.RU by a source familiar with the situation. At the same time, according to him, it is extremely difficult to get such alcohol.

“Many lovers of strong alcohol have stopped buying it in grocery stores. Instead, Tyumen residents are trying to get ethyl alcohol in 100 ml glass bottles, then dilute it with water and “turn” it into vodka. This costs from 50 rubles. Moreover, you cannot buy it in regular stores. Only through friends,” said the agency’s interlocutor on condition of anonymity.

He added that ethyl alcohol dealers only sell it to people they know. “Getting alcohol in glass bottles is extremely difficult. This, as a rule, is supplied only to pharmacies, but no one will sell it to you wholesale there. Sellers “advertise” their products using word of mouth. At the same time, no one can vouch for the quality of alcohol. Therefore, eating it may result in poisoning. More severe consequences are possible,” said a URA.RU insider.

A written request was sent to the press service of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Tyumen region. A response is awaited.

Previously, the agency wrote that residents of Tyumen began to more often buy home-made tinctures from private individuals. The cost of strong alcohol from moonshiners is 200 – 300 rubles lower than in grocery stores.
