Tyumen officials will pay a child who was attacked by a homeless dog

The administration of the Golyshmanovsky urban district (Tyumen region) will pay 10 thousand rubles to a child who was attacked by a stray dog. This was reported to URA.RU in the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.

“At the suit of the prosecutor, the administration of the Golyshmanovsky urban district will pay 10 thousand rubles to a child who was bitten by a stray dog. A 12-year-old boy was walking on the street with friends when the animal pounced on him and bit his right hand,” the press service of the prosecutor’s office told URA.RU.

The security forces said that, according to the law, it is the local government that is responsible for capturing stray animals. They demanded compensation for non-pecuniary damage from the mayor’s office. In court, officials and the family of the victim entered into a settlement agreement.

Earlier, URA.RU wrote that in the YaNAO, residents filed a complaint against the police, who did not want to deal with the attack of a dog on a child. The siloviki also said that these issues should be dealt with by the municipal authorities.
