Saudi Aramco has discovered two new natural gas fields, Awtad and Al-Dahna, in eastern Saudi Arabia, state news agency SPA reported, citing the kingdom’s energy ministry.

Awtad is located 142 km southwest of the city of Khufuf, and Al-Dahna is 230 km southwest of Dhahran. The first field makes it possible to extract 762,000 cubic meters of gas and 905 barrels of condensate per day. Al-Dahna produces 724,000 cubic meters of gas and 362 barrels of condensate daily.
