On August 27, a tragic tire explosion at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta claimed the lives of two people and left a third seriously injured, WSB-TV. reports.
This incident happened in the maintenance area of the airport early Tuesday, morning. The tick then exploded when a tire on a Delta Airlines plane exploded.
“The Delta family is heartbroken at the loss of two team members and the injury of another following an incident this morning at the Atlanta Technical Operations Maintenance Facility (TOC 3),” the airline said.
“We have extended our full support to family members and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.

The flight was not canceled or disrupted due to the accident.
