Two attacks of sabotage and assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repulsed – group “South”

The Russian military, conducting military operations in the Avdeevka and Maryinsky directions, continue to destroy the enemy’s manpower and military infrastructure and conduct effective counter-battery combat.

This was told by the head of the press center of the group “South” Colonel Vadim Astafiev. His statement was published on Monday, May 29 on the official resources of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to him, the artillery units of the Southern Group of Forces carried out strikes on the point of temporary deployment of the battalion of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Verkhnekamenskoye. Also, strikes were made on ammunition depots in the area of ​​Belogorovka and Orekhovo-Vasilyevka.

“As part of the counter-battery fight, two self-propelled guns 2S1 Gvozdika were destroyed at the firing positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilyevka and Aleksandro-Shultino,” the colonel reported.

He also said that the crew of the Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system destroyed the accumulation of manpower of the 56th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​the same Orekhovo-Vasilyevka.

“The subdivisions of the group repelled two attacks by enemy sabotage and assault groups in the Alexandro-Artemovsky and Avdeevsky directions,” Astafiev said.

Previously EADaily reported that the aircraft of the “South” group carried out rocket and bomb strikes on the point of temporary deployment of the 81st airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Lisichansk direction.
