Twitter users criticized Macron for a new promise to Ukraine

The French on Twitter criticized their President Emmanuel Macron for promising to continue supporting Kyiv. One of them enlightened the head of state that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky himself was interested in continuing the conflict.

“Kyiv clown in khaki (Zelensky. – Note. Life) does not want peace. The actor wants to be a star, ignoring the suffering of his people. When will you take care of the French?” written by one user.

Another believes that the sanctions imposed against Russia greatly harm Paris.

“We pay a high price, and our opinion is not even taken into account. Our state has greatly weakened and, in fact, has become a third world European country,” French writes.

Some consider Macron’s statements to be lies and have directly expressed their disagreement with him.

“Everything is as always. After the expiration of your term, you can go to work in the Department of Disinformation,” joked the Frenchman.

“I’m already tired of being in solidarity with a country that has never been in solidarity with us since the First World War. After the Second World War, the Germans who fled took refuge in Ukraine! You are rewriting history as you wish,” the user was outraged.

Another user believes that France is directly interested in continuing the conflict. Another is indignant that Zelensky is not being tried to sit at the negotiating table.

“It’s interesting that a few years ago you didn’t talk about Ukraine like that. Your tweets are starting to get annoying,” he guessed.

The last user asked why France has turned a blind eye to the problems of the Donbas residents for the past eight years.

“Where was your solidarity eight years ago? Or, like the Nazis who have ruled Ukraine since 2014, do you not consider the Russian-speaking residents of Donbass as people at all?” he asks.
