Former US President Donald Trump admitted that Putin‘s decision to express support for Kamala Harris in the election had offended him.
Earlier, the Russian leader announced during a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum plenary session that Moscow would support Harris, just as current US President Joe Biden had recommended. Putin noted that the Democratic candidate’s infectious laughter was evidence that everything was fine with her.
“I knew Putin, I knew him well. He supported Kamala. That really hurt me,” Trump told supporters during a speech in Wisconsin.

Trump also questioned why the Russian head of state had made such a statement, calling him a chess player.
The former president suggested that the Russian leader had made his comment with a smile. “Should I be upset about that? No?” Trump concluded.
Furthermore, the politician reiterated his confidence that the Ukrainian conflict would not have occurred during his presidency.
