Donald Trump has expressed doubts about taking part in a debate with US Vice President Kamala Harris in the run-up to the upcoming election.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump questioned the necessity of debating Harris, stating, “Now I’m wondering why I need to participate in the debate, I’m leading in the polls. Everybody knows me, her: she wants open borders, a weak army, high taxes. I want a strong border, low taxes, and a strong anti-drug policy.” Trump emphasized his desire to debate while also considering his significant lead in public opinion polls.
Asked to respond to the challenge to face Harris directly, Trump characterized him as a “third-rate candidate.”

Referring to his previous withdrawal from the presidency and alleging that the “dishonest media” was trying to protect him. He accused Harris of changing his position on key issues.
Joe Biden will not participate in the election due to illness. Harris can participate in the election in that place. The party has not yet clarified whether it will allow him to participate in the election. But many have ruled in his favor.

Fox News, a network with Republican leanings, has proposed hosting the debates on September 17.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5. The Republican Party has officially nominated Trump for the presidency, with Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as the vice-presidential candidate.
