Donald Trump, now a Republican candidate, has not ruled out the possibility of separating families during mass deportations of illegal immigrants, promised “measures” to address such situations, according to The New York Times.
Previously, Axios Portal quoted a source as saying that Trump, if elected, would plan to deport millions of undocumented immigrants with the cooperation of law enforcement officials at all levels of government.
According to the New York Times, he has planned to set up camps for them where they would wait for deportation from the country.

When asked by an NBC News reporter whether he would deport illegal immigrants who are married to or parents of U.S. citizens, Trump stated, “There will be measures, but we have to get rid of criminals.” He did not provide specifics on the measures.
Trump emphasized that his priority was to deport illegal immigrants with criminal records, arguing that the cost of deportation would be less than the cost of keeping them in the United States.
The country has seen record levels of illegal migration in recent months, with 302,000 illegal border crossings recorded in December alone, the highest in a single month. During President Biden‘s term, record numbers of illegal immigrants have been reported.
