The French company TotalEnergies wants to continue to receive Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG). Imports will be suspended only after the imposition of sanctions by the European Union, said the head of the energy concern Patrick Pouyanne.

The top manager of the French company spoke at the Energy Intelligence Forum in the British capital. According to him, TotalEnergies contributes to the security of supplies to Europe.

“Because we contribute to the security of supply in Europe. If sanctions are imposed, we will immediately stop deliveries,” Pouyanne said.

Previous Edition reported that Japan in August increased its imports of LNG from Russia by 211.2% compared to August 2021. The volume of deliveries of Russian oil to the country in annual terms decreased by 20.3%.
