Numerous international observers (641 observers from 35 countries) who were present at the elections in Kazakhstan noted the highest level of preparation and conduct of the voting. The Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming commented on the will of the Kazakh people as follows: “The election of the President of Kazakhstan was recognized by the SCO mission as legitimate and transparent. The voting results announced today by the CEC fully coincide with our feelings that we experienced when we visited the polling stations.”

More than 170 members of the group from nine Commonwealth countries followed the elections. They visited more than a thousand polling stations in the capital and regions, noted the high quality of the information campaign in preparation for the elections, the decency of the candidates during the election race and the good organization of the voting process itself.

Foreign observers willingly shared their impressions of the elections. Federal Deputy of Mexico Carla Estreya Diaz Garcia was open and emotional: “Kazakhs and Mexicans are very similar. The elections began at seven o’clock in the morning, and we already saw how many voters were waiting at closed doors. There were lines! This is amazing! We see the same process in the elections in Mexico. Thus, when more people come, democracy is established.

I congratulate the Kazakhs on real elections and I want to quote our president: “Let democracy live, and let corruption die!”

General Secretary of the Italian Institute of Asia Domenico Palmieri in an interview with reporters, he said that he was in Kazakhstan for the first time. He noted the positive mood of the voters.

“This is my first experience as an international election observer. I heard a lot about Kazakhstan and I was curious to see what the situation is like in the country today. We visited about ten sites and I saw people in a good mood. In Italy, the elections are very aggressive, and in Kazakhstan, music and songs were played at the polling stations. It’s an interesting experience,” Palmieri said.

The program of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev “A Just Kazakhstan – for everyone and for everyone” imposes a great responsibility on him. A high result in the presidential elections is a credit of trust given for the further modernization of the country. Tokayev’s mission is difficult, but, as the experience of other countries shows, it is quite feasible: democratization of the country, building an economy based on a balance of interests and well-being of citizens, business, the state and the efficient use of the country’s resources, as well as solving social issues and improving the living standards of the population.

Work continues

And today the attention of Moscow and Astana is riveted to the session of the Collective Security Council (CSC) of the CSTO in Yerevan, which will be held on November 23. The session is expected to be attended by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The leaders of the countries will discuss topical issues of international and regional security and the main results of the CSTO activities in the intersessional period. However, the key event, obviously, will not be the summing up of the results of the Armenian chairmanship in the organization, but the signing of the decision of the heads of the CSTO member states on the appointment of a well-known Kazakh politician as the Secretary General of this organization. Imangali Tasmagambetova. The corresponding submission for the appointment of Tasmagambetov was officially submitted two months ago by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
