Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the equipment of several thousand fortifications in the border areas in the new regions has been fully completed. Mr. Mishustin cited the data at a meeting of the Coordinating Council to meet the needs of the Russian armed forces, other troops, military formations and bodies.
“Resources have been allocated for the organization of a special technical cover, including the purchase of means for detecting and countering unmanned aerial vehicles,” the prime minister said (quote – press office governments).
The construction of border fortifications in Russia began in the fall of 2022 in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. In February 2023, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the strengthening of the border with Ukraine, on the same days, the head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced the construction of fortifications in Crimea.
