According to projections by the authorities, the facility will only be 100% ready in 2024, while actions are also being carried out to enable the dressing rooms, the soccer field and also the athletics track for the first quarter of next year.
1900 million pesos will be the cost of the missing works to finally be able to definitively deliver the Doctor Olegario Henríquez de San Antonio Stadium.
After a meeting held between the Minister of Public Works, Juan Carlos García, with political and sports actors from the San Antonio commune, to communicate that the remaining works to complete the construction of the Doctor Olegario Henríquez Stadium will cost 1.9 billion pesos, which would have already been delivered to the National Sports Institute.
Let us remember that previously, various reports concluded that layers of fire-resistant paint were missing on the roof supports and also on the the galleries to provide greater security to the attendees.
The steps to follow after this situation is that the National Sports Institute must make an agreement with the Municipality of the commune to call for tenders for a company to take over the missing works. This was stated by Liliana Cancino, spokesperson for the citizen board for the defense of the San Antonio stadium.
These new works will cause a new delay in delivery end of the enclosure, which according to the projections made by the corresponding authorities, would only be during the year 2024.
Of course, they are still working on the partial opening of the sports establishment so that the community can have the dressing rooms, the soccer field and also the track, athletics are cut. The councilor and president of the sports commission of the commune, Manuel Meza, indicated that they expect this to happen during the first quarter of 2023.
It should be noted that of those 1.9 billion that the new works will cost, 26 million are destined to close the perimeter of the areas that will be set up so that the community can partially use the facility.
p>In addition, remember that the initial cost of this project was 12 thousand 500 million pesos, to which this new figure will be added, giving a total of more than 14 billion.
