Russian citizens are not included in the lists of road accident victims in southwestern Turkey. This was reported on Monday by TASS at the Russian Consulate General in Antalya.
“According to information confirmed at the moment by the local authorities and the administration of the medical institution, there are no Russian citizens among the victims. The causes of the accident are being established,” the source said.
The diplomatic mission added that, “according to the traffic police, as a result of a head-on collision with a school minibus moving in the oncoming lane, a driver was killed, more than 30 people were injured.” “Tourists and local citizens, who were injured of varying severity, were taken to the local hospital for examination and the provision of necessary medical care. The condition of three underage Turkish citizens who were in the minibus during the incident is assessed as serious,” the consulate general noted.
Earlier, the Demiroren news agency reported that tourist and school buses collided on the Mugla-Denizli highway on Monday morning. As a result of the road accident, one of the drivers died, 45 people were injured. According to the agency, citizens of Russia and Ukraine could have been on the tourist bus.
