Svetlana Muratova, the wife of Kurgan senator Sergei Muratov, received a diploma from the World Russian People’s Council. This was reported by the press service of the Kurgan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
“The diploma and badge of honor of the 1st degree from the World Russian People’s Council were presented to Svetlana Muratova,” the Region 45 portal reports, citing a message from representatives of the diocese. She received the award for service to the benefit of the Fatherland.
Muratova heads the board of trustees of the Kurgan branch of the Union of Orthodox Women of Russia. According to the diocese, the letter was presented to her by Metropolitan Daniel of Kurgan and Belozersk.
