He reacted to a media report that a secret report by the US Department of Energy refers to a likely leak from a Chinese biolab. The department considers this highly likely, but is not completely sure. The White House also cannot decide.
“Right now there is no definite answer about its origin”Sullivan said.
According to him, the US President Joe Biden demands that American laboratories, under the auspices of the Department of Energy, be involved in the analysis of the situation in order to use every opportunity to get answers to questions about the causes of the pandemic.
As a reminder, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in February that the organization intends to continue research until the causes of SARS-CoV-2 are clarified.
