The West plans to provide Kyiv with F-16 fighters – media

The United States and its allies plan to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was reported by the NBC television channel, citing a high-ranking American official.

According to him, in the coming months, the United States and other Western countries will decide when to begin deliveries, determine the number of fighters transferred, and who exactly will provide them to the Armed Forces. It is noted that Ukraine may not receive aircraft directly from Washington.

According to the newspaper Politico, the Ukrainian authorities expect to receive up to 50 F-16 fighters. Training for Ukrainian pilots to fly fighters, including F-16s, will take place in Europe and take several months, it could begin in the coming weeks.
