The authorities announced the opening of the wedding season at the Northern River Station in the capital
Lovers will be able to marry until autumn in a renovated building located at the capital’s Northern River Station. This was announced on the official website mayor of Moscow.
The first seven Moscow couples will get married on Saturday, May 20, on the opening day of the wedding season at the Northern River Station.
“The ceremonies are being held as part of the Moscow Mayor’s New Addresses of Happiness project,” said Anastasia Rakova, Moscow Deputy Mayor for Social Development.
The wedding season at summer offsite locations traditionally runs from May to September. The site has become a popular place for the townspeople to hold solemn ceremonies for marriage. This year, due to high demand, a third more temporary wedding venues were opened than in 2022.
Wedding events this summer will be held on weekends and weekdays. In the new season, about 150 couples will tie the knot on the historic site. In just two years, 112 couples got married in the port of five seas, Rakova added.
Marriage applications are accepted at the Wedding Palace No. 1, as well as on the public services website or mos.ru.
Earlier, the head of the registry office, Ukhaneva, said that couples in Moscow began to spend weddings without guests more often.
