This pilot project is being implemented for the first time in the country.
“We organized interaction with the government of the Kurgan region, the regional Duma, the heads of municipalities, on whose territory inspections will be carried out. They are carried out under the control of the regional prosecutor’s office. It will also help the UFSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region. We hope that our preventive work will serve as a lesson for violators and our roads will be preserved,” said Oleg Sedelnikov, head of the Kurgan branch of Rostransnadzor. Oleg Sedelnikov. Experts from neighboring regions will also help in identifying violators. These checks will run for two weeks.
Chairman of the Kurgan Regional Duma Dmitry Frolov thanked the employees of the Ural department of Rostransnadzor for coming to the aid of local transport workers to fight offenders. “A certain school of experience exchange between regions will work. I hope that this pilot project, which is being implemented for the first time in the country, and specifically in the Kurgan region, will then be projected to other regions,” Frolov said. He also noted that the main task is the prevention and punishment of violators.
Earlier, URA.RU wrote that in Kurgan, truck drivers poured asphalt next to the road in order not to pay a fine. According to the region’s Rostransnadzor, protocols have been drawn up against violators. Prior to this, it was reported that truck drivers were hiding in the woods from weight control. Thus, they try to avoid large congestion fines.
