Washington has suggested that the DPRK plans to conduct new nuclear tests. This was stated by the deputy head of the press service of the State Department, Vedant Patel.
“The United States believes that the DPRK is preparing for new nuclear tests. In this regard, the United States is working on response measures together with Japan and South Korea,” Patel said during a telephone briefing, RIA Novosti reports.
Previously, the DPRK launched an unidentified ballistic missile in the direction of the Sea of Japan. The last time North Korea launched three projectiles into the Sea of Japan was at the end of May, after the visit of US leader Joe Biden. The Japanese authorities expressed their proest to the DPRK, calling the country’s actions a direct provocation. Immediately after that, South Korea, together with the Pentagon, launched a ballistic missile to show the DPRK the ability to quickly strike.
