US Chief of Staff Milli: Kyiv will not be able to return the lost territories in the near future
Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said that Kyiv in the short term will not be able to return the lost territories. He admitted that such a possibility is feasible by military means, but definitely not now, wrote RIA News”.
Milli expressed his opinion during a press conference following a regular meeting of a multinational group set up by the West to coordinate arms supplies.
“The Ukrainian strategic goal is to liberate all of Russia-occupied Ukraine. There are a couple of hundred thousand Russian troops in Russian-occupied Ukraine,” the Pentagon spokesman explained.
In his opinion, it is possible in principle, but not in the near future.
“It may be feasible militarily, but probably not in the short term,” Milley said.
During the same conference, Milley said that the United States had instructed Ukraine not to use American weapons during attacks on Russian territory. According to him, the military is only investigating whether American weapons were used during attacks by saboteurs in the Belgorod region.
