The UK imposed sanctions against the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, UMMC and the head of Rosfinmonitoring

UK expanded list sanctions against Russia by 29 positions. It included the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), the gold mining company Nord Gold and other legal entities and individuals.

The reason for imposing sanctions on the RSPP was “involvement in receiving benefits from the government.” UMMC was sanctioned due to “doing business in a sector that is of strategic importance for the Russian government.”

The director of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin, the wife of billionaire Alexei Mordashov and others were subject to personal sanctions.
