Netanyahu expressed that the chances of reaching a deal regarding the Gaza Strip have increased due to recent developments.
He specifically pointed to the deaths of “extremist elements” as a factor that has improved the prospects for a deal. These extremists were previously opposed to the deal.
Netanyahu referenced the killings of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran as significant events that could positively influence the negotiations.

The removal of these figures, who were seen as obstacles to the negotiations, is believed by Netanyahu to have opened up more opportunities for progress in the Gaza deal.
