In Yekaterinburg, on the Siberian Highway, police officers chased a 21-year-old native of Tajikistan in a foreign car, after which they detained him. The driver tried to avoid the security forces out of fear, the press service of the city traffic police told URA.RU.
“DPS officers wanted to check the documents of the driver of the Daewoo Nexia, but the motorist ignored the lawful action of the police officers and tried to escape, after which a pursuit began. To stop the offender, traffic police officers decided to block the vehicle and detained the motorist. He turned out to be a 21-year-old citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan,” the message said.
The offender explained that he had a temporary residence permit in the Russian Federation, but ignored the demands of the police out of fear. Now administrative material has been drawn up against the driver, and the car has been placed in a special parking lot.
On the night of November 30 in Yekaterinburg, several police cars chased the Nexia driver. Eventually the fugitive was detained.
