In the forests and settlements of the Kurgan region today, May 16, the state of emergency, which was introduced due to fires, was canceled. The corresponding decree was signed by the Governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov, informs press service of the head of the region. At the same time, a special fire regime and a ban on visiting forests continue to operate.
The state of emergency in the forests of the Kurgan region has been in effect since April 28. On May 7, it was introduced throughout the region in connection with large-scale natural fires that spread to at least seven settlements: villages on the outskirts of Kurgan, the villages of Yuldus and Ploskoye in the Shadrinsk district, the villages of Nechunaev and Mishagin in the Kargapol district, the village of Kodskoye and the village of Mogilev in the Shatrovsky district . About 2.5 thousand people lost their homes.
