The State Duma proposed to include materials on the genocide of the peoples of the USSR in social science textbooks

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, Issues of Public and Religious Associations Olga Zanko in her Telegram channel she wrote about the proposal to include materials from courts on the genocide of the peoples of the USSR in the new social science textbook.

According to the parliamentarian, the relevant deputy request has already been sent to the head of the Ministry of Education Sergei Kravtsov. Zanko recalled that the President-supported project “Without a statute of limitations” had already conducted 12 trials on the genocide of the peoples of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War.

The representative of the State Duma says that the decisions of the courts are especially important now. They will make it possible to show schoolchildren all the inhumanity of the Hitler regime and to form among them aversion to any manifestations of neo-Nazism. It is especially important to reveal the concepts of “genocide” and “neo-Nazism” in the new textbook, Zanko notes.

Former Chairman of the RF IC Alexander Bastrykin explained the importance of recognizing the crimes of the Third Reich as genocide. According to the head of the Investigative Committee, this will not allow the West to rewrite history.
