The State Duma denied the entry of PMC “Wagner” into the Russian Guard

Information about the entry of the Wagner PMC into the Russian Guard is a rumor, there can be no talk about it. This statement was made by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Khinshtein.

“I have repeatedly commented on detailed rumors. There is and cannot be any talk of PMCs joining the Russian Guard,” wrote Khinshtein in his telegram channel. He noted that former military personnel of PMCs will be able to enter into contracts as volunteers on an individual basis, and a “structural absorption” of PMCs by the Russian Guard is impossible by definition.

Earlier, information appeared that the recruitment of those wishing to join the ranks of the private military company Wagner had resumed in Perm. It was noted that the candidate should not have supervision, a written undertaking not to leave the place, a wanted list in the Russian Federation or an outstanding criminal record. The portal 59.ru wrote that the son of entrepreneur and former head of the Wagner PMC Evgeniy Prigozhin, Pavel, headed a private military company as part of the Russian Guard.
