The state debt of the Nizhny Novgorod region increased to 118.8 billion rubles

In September 2022, the state debt of the Nizhny Novgorod Region increased by 1.3 billion rubles and reached 118.8 billion rubles by the beginning of October. This was reported in the regional Ministry of Finance.

The department explains the latest increase in public debt by receiving a tranche of an infrastructure budget loan.

The Nizhny Novgorod authorities promise to spend this money on strengthening the coastal slope on Chernigovskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod, on laying water supply networks in the villages of Olgino and Novinki, and on preparing the territory for landscaping in the Pochainsky ravine.

It should be noted that according to official data, 60.8% of the state debt of the Nizhny Novgorod region falls on loans from the federal budget, 39.1% – on government securities and the remaining 0.1% – on state guarantees.
