Deputies of the Chelyabinsk Legislative Assembly are going to approve the resignation of speaker Alexander Lazarev at an extraordinary session. This was reported to URA.RU on June 8 by a source in the ZSO.
“An extraordinary session of the Legislative Assembly is proposed to be held on June 15. Now it is being specified whether it will be possible to ensure a quorum during the holidays of deputies. If so, then in a week, colleagues will vote for the resignation of Lazarev and approve Vice Speaker Pavel Kiselev as interim chairman, ”said the insider.
According to him, this will also speed up the transfer of Lazarev’s mandate to another candidate, United Russia Valery Filippov. Accordingly, the deputies will vote for the new chairman, Oleg Gerber, at a scheduled meeting on June 29.
“The issue is being worked out. The final decision will be made in the near future,” the press service told URA.RU.
The resignation of Lazarev became known on June 7. The speaker accepted the offer of Governor Alexei Teksler to become his deputy for relations with new subjects of the Russian Federation.
