Aggravation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh
Russia is not fulfilling its obligations under the tripartite agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh, guaranteeing the deployment of peacekeepers to resolve the conflict. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan.
“According to the tripartite statement of November 9, Russia has clear obligations to protect Nagorno-Karabakh. Peacekeepers of the Russian Federation are obliged to defend Nagorno-Karabakh: they do not fulfill this obligation,” the publication quotes Grigoryan as saying.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry called on the parties to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh to immediately stop their actions and eliminate civilian casualties, returning to the implementation of previous agreements for a peaceful resolution of the issue. The department clarified that the agreements reached at the highest level in 2020-2022 contain an exhaustive list of steps for a peaceful resolution of the problem.
