Mayor Sobyanin told how the territory next to the South River Station will be transformed over the summer
The capital’s specialists will renovate the embankment by autumn and create a public space in front of the building of the Southern River Station. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.
The capital continues to improve the territory of the South River Station, which was opened after reconstruction in April this year.
“By the start of navigation on the Moskva River, a part of the embankment and the space in front of the station building were put in order, the mooring area was cleared of accumulated silt and the bottom was deepened,” the mayor specified.
In the second phase of work, specialists will repair the embankment and equip a public area in front of the station. Fences and even more modern lanterns will appear on the territory. Over 30 information boards and devices with court schedules will be installed. In addition, workers will lay more than four kilometers of cable ducts and 60 meters of additional storm water.
The renovated embankment, which is 500 meters long, will have five berths for ships of various classes – pleasure and cruise. Three more stopping pavilions will be equipped for passengers. Work will be completed by September.
Earlier, specialists completed the reconstruction of the gas pipeline in Khamovniki.
