Tyumen social activist Yuri Ryabtsev demanded that the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev initiate an administrative violation case against the Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug Natalya Komarova because of her phrase “we did not prepare for this war, we do not need it,” considering it discrediting the Russian army. At the same time, Komarova herself only acknowledged the existence of failures in the provision of ammunition to Ugra fighters in a conversation with the wife of a SVO fighter in Nizhnevartovsk and promised to solve the problems that arose individually.
“The specified public action-statement of the Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug N.V. Komarova. in response to a question from a resident of Nizhnevartovsk about clothing allowances for military personnel during the implementation of the military action for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine according to the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin: “We did not prepare for this war. We don’t need it” is aimed at discrediting the use of the RF Armed Forces. <…> These facts are a sufficient and exhaustive reason and basis for initiating an administrative violation under Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in relation to Komarova and bringing her to administrative responsibility,” the statement said.
In a conversation with a journalist from the agency, Ryabtsev emphasized that he had repeatedly observed in the public space how ordinary Russians were fined for such statements, and believed that the law should be the same for everyone. At the same time, the social activist, according to him, did not publicly react to similar statements made by other media figures, including officials, of the Russian Federation. “Due to circumstances or lack of time, I simply did not pay the attention of law enforcement agencies to this,” added Ryabtsev, clarifying that the context in those cases was different.
Ryabtsev is known for high-profile trials and numerous complaints against public figures both from the Tyumen Matryoshka doll and throughout Russia. He demanded that the prosecutor’s office punish the singer Daria Zoteeva (pseudonym Instasamka – approx. URA.RU) for disseminating indecent information and insulting human dignity, and also sued the Tyumen authorities over the ban on holding a rally of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation under the pretext of Covid restrictions.
Earlier, URA.RU wrote about a frank statement made by the governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug during a conversation with the wife of a SVO participant during a meeting with residents of Nizhnevartovsk. The head of the region for the first time abandoned the image of the “iron lady” and admitted that not everything was working out for her, in response to a complaint about problems with the supply of ammunition for military personnel from Ugra.
