According to Ms. Sutormina, the chairman of the board, Leonid Slutsky, ordered the allocation of funds on the same day when it became known about the death of the peacekeepers. “Now all the formalities have been completed, and money has already begun to arrive to the relatives of the victims,” she added.

Russian authorities have still not disclosed how many peacekeepers were killed in the September 20 shelling. The Russian Peace Foundation also does not provide a death toll. Azerbaijan reported five deaths. It is known that among them is the deputy commander of Russian peacekeepers in the region, Ivan Kovgan. In addition, another peacekeeper was killed in another incident.
