The Russian Foreign Ministry recommended that Russian citizens refrain from traveling to Latvia due to the previously adopted law on the confiscation of cars with Russian license plates. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova during the briefing.

Due to the sharply worsening situation in Latvia, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again issues a recommendation not to visit this Baltic country, including with personal cars registered in Russia“,Zakharova said.

The diplomat also noted that the Russian leadership will take retaliatory measures, including asymmetrical ones, to the “legal lawlessness” of the Latvian authorities.
