The Russian Foreign Ministry linked Pashinyan’s refusal to participate in the CSTO summit and the supply of weapons by the West

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russia views Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s refusal to participate in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit and the expansion of supplies of Western weapons to the republic as links in the same chain.

At the briefing, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attributed to the same category the statement of the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan that the republic has ideas about both European integration and non-bloc status. In addition, along with the above, she singled out “Yerevan’s friendship with the Kyiv regime.” According to the diplomat, such actions by Armenia could lead to the enslavement of the country, reports “RIA News”.

On November 14, Nikol Pashinyan told Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that he would not come to the CSTO summit in Minsk on November 23. In October, Mr. Pashinyan also missed the CIS summit in Bishkek. The Kremlin expressed regret over the decision of the Armenian prime minister not to visit Minsk. Today, November 15, Mr. Pashinyan expressed the opinion that the CSTO refuses to “fix its area of responsibility” in Armenia. At the same time, he noted that Armenia is not preparing the ground for leaving the organization.
