The Russian Embassy in the United States denied accusations of “nuclear saber-rattling”

The fears of Western countries about the risks allegedly arising during the special operation for nuclear facilities in Ukraine and the accusations of “rattling of nuclear weapons” against Moscow were called unfounded in the Russian embassy in Washington. The corresponding statement was published on June 17 in the telegram channel of the Russian diplomatic mission.

“We consider unfounded the insinuations of the West about the alleged risks for nuclear facilities on Ukrainian territory as a result of a special military operation, as well as accusations of “rattling of nuclear weapons,” the Russian embassy in the United States said in a comment.

It is also noted that Russia is ready to cooperate with interested parties for the sake of holding a review conference on the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. It is also pointed out that Washington should put the interests of preserving the treaty above opportunistic goals.
