Russian special operation in Ukraine

The UK must bear full responsibility for the supply of weapons that Kyiv uses to attack civilians in Donbass. This is stated in the statement of the Russian Embassy in London.

“We have repeatedly urged the British government to exercise caution and comply with its own export control standards when supplying weapons to Ukraine. These calls went unheeded. Recent events show that the time has come for the UK to take full responsibility for its short-sighted policies,” reads a statement posted on the embassy website.

The diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation noted that in the past days, Ukrainian troops subjected Donetsk to regular shelling, as a result of which at least five people were killed and 33 civilians were injured. The statement emphasizes that the UAF attacks on the civilian population were only possible thanks to Western arms supplies, in which the UK “claims to be the leading role.”

On June 14, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled Donetsk several times. First, the blow was delivered to the Maisky market, then to the residential sector in the city center. The maternity hospital of the Vishnevsky hospital also came under fire. The German media tried to blame Russian troops for the attack on Donetsk. Military expert Dmitry Litovkin told URA.RU that the shelling of Donetsk indicates the imminent flight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation will conduct an investigation into the shelling of Donetsk, reports RT.

Russia launched a special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that this was a forced decision necessary to protect the inhabitants of Donbass from genocide. The head of state noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly carried out punitive operations in the Donbass. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stressed that the Russian army seeks to prevent casualties among civilians.
