The Russian Embassy does not believe the words of the United States about non-involvement in the explosions of gas pipelines

Washington, March 24, 2023, 00:31 — REGNUM The words of American officials about the non-involvement of the United States in undermining the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines do not inspire any confidence. This was stated on March 23 by the Russian Embassy in Washington in its telegram channel.

The Russian diplomatic mission drew attention to the statement made on March 23 during the hearings in Congress by the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that not a single US state structure took part or assisted in the implementation of sabotage on the Nord Streams.

“We are forced to state that the words of local officials, who previously repeatedly did not shy away from deceit and disinformation, including on international platforms, do not inspire any confidence. Especially against the backdrop of public promises by administration officials to “do away” with critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea and arguments about the unacceptability of mutually beneficial energy ties between the Russian Federation and Europe”the embassy said in a statement.

The diplomatic mission called for the launch of an impartial and transparent international investigation into the sabotage of the gas pipelines. However, it notes, the United States, along with a narrow group of like-minded people, actively oppose such efforts.

“Periodic formal dispatches of the command Joe Biden allegedly ongoing national investigations in European jurisdictions do not stand up to scrutiny. First of all, due to their lack of transparency and blocking the access of PJSC Gazprom (the owner of the highways!) to establishing the circumstances of the incident.”Russian diplomats stressed.

Recall that on March 23, Secretary of State Blinken, speaking in the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the US House of Representatives, declared that none of the American federal agencies were involved in undermining the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.
