The Tenth Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus will not only highlight the milestones of regional cooperation between the two countries, but will also include events through youth parliaments, as well as chambers of commerce and industry. Schoolchildren will take part in the cultural and educational patriotic project “Memory Train”. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov at a meeting of the Russian and Belarusian organizing committees for the preparation and holding of the Forum. The event will take place on June 26-28 in Bashkortostan, the Federation Council indicated.
The program of the Forum also includes a meeting of the heads of the parliaments of the two countries with the heads of the authorities of the regions of the two countries, a meeting of the governing bodies of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council and the Youth Council under the National Assembly of Belarus. The plenary session of the anniversary event will be devoted to the results of the 10-year work of the Forum, follows from the message.
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the work of sectional meetings, clarified in the Chamber of Regions. Thus, the first section is devoted to humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, the second – to the contribution of Russian and Belarusian public organizations and associations to the promotion of integration.
The theme of the third section is “Cooperation between regions, districts and cities of Russia and Belarus as the most important factor in strengthening the Union State”, the fourth – “Implementation of a unified industrial policy in order to deepen the economic integration of Russia and Belarus.”
Within the framework of the fifth section, the participants will discuss cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, and the sixth section will discuss the contribution of the volunteer movement to strengthening Russian-Belarusian cooperation. The seventh section will be devoted to discussing the role of new technologies in the development of the institutions of the Union State, the eighth – to a unified legal system.
At the ninth section, the Forum participants will touch upon the formation of a unified agrarian policy of the Union State and outline its future prospects.”
In addition, intergovernmental and interregional cooperation agreements will be signed at various venues, youth and sports holidays will be held, and an extensive cultural and exhibition program is planned.
