The prosecutor’s office of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug conducted an investigation due to a fire in a regular bus with passengers, which was traveling from Nefteyugansk to Singapai. The official website of the department reported that the commission will establish the causes of the incident.

“On behalf of the district prosecutor’s office, an investigation was organized into the fire of a passenger bus that occurred on December 4, 2023 in the village of Singapai, Nefteyugansk district. During the investigation, the prosecutor’s office will establish all the circumstances and reasons for what happened,” the publication of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug prosecutor’s office states.

The prosecutor’s office is monitoring the progress of the investigation. During the investigation, specialists will assess the technical condition of the bus that caught fire, compliance with transport operating rules, safety requirements and the transportation of passengers. After summing up the results, the department will take prosecutorial response measures.
