Residents of the Kherson region of Ukraine who receive Russian passports will not be liable for military service. This was stated by Vladimir Saldo, who calls himself the head of the pro-Russian administration of the Kherson region.
“All those who have received passports now are not liable for military service, and there will be no mobilization as such, that is, their involvement. But anyone who wants to can take part in a special operation,” Mr. Saldo explained to reporters (quoted by TASS).
Today, September 27, in the Kherson region, which the Russian military has controlled since March, a referendum on joining Russia will end. Similar referendums are being held in the DPR, LPR, as well as in the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region. Partial mobilization in Russia has been announced since September 21 by decree of Vladimir Putin.
