Members of election commissions and staff members were awarded at the ceremony. The chairman of the district election commission, Andrei Gibert, gathered in Salekhard not only the heads of territorial commissions, but also the entire Yamal political beau monde, URA.RU sources report.

“The main celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the district’s electoral system will be held on December 1 in the Cultural and Business Center, then continue in the banquet hall of the Yuribey government hotel. Heads of TECs, political associations, and government bodies were invited. The events are large-scale and match the date,” said insiders.

Representatives of the Electoral Commission of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug confirmed that a large award ceremony for members of election commissions and staff members had already taken place in the district capital on December 30 – for special services in organizing and conducting elections and in connection with the 30th anniversary of the electoral system of Russia and Yamal. “Today and tomorrow there are celebrations; today awards were presented on behalf of the governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug,” the election commission told URA.RU. “The celebration will continue tomorrow, a concert is planned.”
