Now the configuration of the future world order is being decided, as a result of which Russia’s place in the polycentric system will be determined. Moscow succeeded in expanding cooperation with most of the member states of the international community and frustrated the plans of the collective West to isolate and dismember the country. This was stated today, February 27, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, opening a meeting with the heads of territorial bodies – representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Russian regions.

“At the moment, the configuration of the future world order is being decided, as a result of which Russia’s place in the democratic, fair, polycentric system, which is now being formed and which does not and cannot have an alternative, will be determined. I want to emphasize that we managed not only to thwart the plans of the collective West to isolate and even dismember Russia, but also to ensure ongoing cooperation with the overwhelming majority of members of the international community. We now call it the world majority”, he stressed.

The head of the foreign policy department drew attention to the development of “more and more close, more and more effective ties” with this world majority.

“Among the world majority countries are such giants as China, India, many other international partners, including our allies in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, members of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, and in this, Undoubtedly, the merit of the entire friendly staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov stated, quoted by TASS.
